iZombie: Top 5 Pop Culture Reference

Our friends at izombiesupportgroup.com (thanks to @TC_Stark) have made a great post about the Top 5 of ‘iZombie‘ Pop Culture Reference. Be sure to click the ‘READ MORE‘ button below to access the full Top 5!

  • Number 5: Fifty Shades of Grey Matter

blaineThe entire 11th episode of the 2nd season was a play on the popular book “Fifty Shades of Grey” written by EL James. Quick spoiler alert, you don’t need to read the book, it’s awful and the smut isn’t even that good. Anyway, Liv eats the brain of a librarian who just wrote a novel about the adventures of a “sexy flight stewardess”. As a result, our heroine is plagued with horny thoughts, provocative images, and the consequences of her actions while under the influence of the deceased’s noggin.

Although I am certainly not a fan of the book this pop culture reference originated from, we do get Liv hilariously flirting and ogling over the hunky men of iZombie and this episode does result in not only the main character sleeping with the hot zombie Drake, but we also got a long awaited smut scene from Blaine and Peyton.

My name is Stephanie. Being a (french) fan of Rose McIver, I noticed that no French or English website was created about her to support her projects & promote her wonderful work. In 2013, I decided to create the first site (not in French) but in English to reach a wider audience. In May 2017, I met Rose at the 'Fairy Tales 5' con in Paris. In February 2020, I had another amazing opportunity to meet Rose, virtually this time.
