‘iZombie’ Season 3: News, Updates

Fans are happy enough to know that “iZombie” has been renewed for another season even though a release date has not been set. While this news was something that got its cast excited, Robert Buckley, who plays Major Lilywhite in the series, admitted what he felt upon receiving the news about the renewal announcement.

The morning I got the call about Season Three, my first honest question was — normally this Executive Producer doesn’t call early in the morning — so it was like, ‘Oh my god, what have I done?‘ Buckley told Comic Book Resources during an interview at WonderCon 2016 in March.

Buckley was also with his co-star David Anders, who plays Blaine DeBeers, during the event and Anders was also surprised by the announcement.

Now that “iZombie” season 3 has been confirmed, fans are looking forward to know what’s next for Liv Moore (Rose McIver) and the gang. At this point, the production has not shared specific details regarding season’s 3 plot. However, according to Malcolm Goodwin, one of the plotlines to be explored is how his character, Detective Clive Babineaux, will try to piece together the truth involving zombies and how his partner Liv has lied to him the whole time.

He’s also got to process the fact that he saw these Romero zombies and they killed Rob Thomas, his favorite singer,” the actor added.

Meanwhile, the other Rob Thomas, “iZombie’s” showrunner, had expressed that he wanted to have Aly Michalka, who plays Liv’s bestfriend Peyton Charles, as a series regular. Before season 2 concluded, Peyton had already moved back in with Liv and speculations are rife that fans will see more of her during season 3. Peyton is now part of “Team Z” since she already knows about this secret. It would also make sense that she becomes a series regular considering she forms a love triangle with Blaine and Ravi Chakrabarti (Rahul Kohli).

Way back in 2013, I noticed there were no French or English website supporting her projects or promoting her amazing work – that's why I decided to create this fansite, in English to reach a larger audience. I started following Rose in my early twenties, here I am in my thirties, even more enthusiastic to share everything related to her career. I had the opportunity to meet Rose three times. In May 2017, at the 'Fairy Tales 5' con in Paris. In February 2020, virtually during "Empire's Virtual Hangout 4". In May 2023, I went to Germany to meet Rose again.
